Skincare has been an essential part of my life since my late teens. I struggled with acne much later than most of my friends and didn’t start breaking out until I was about nineteen. I soon realized the importance of what I was putting on my face.
Welcome to hault
Founded by Brian Diethorn, hault is a men's skincare line focusing on desert ingredients and creating your calm. Through the desert, Brian discovered a connection between skin health and mental health. Agave, prickly pear cactus and aloe, all have healing properties and excel at moisture retention.
Why Now...
Skincare became even more important when I hit my 40s.
I couldn’t find a men’s line focusing on evidence-based, anti-aging ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, retinol, ceramides jojoba oil and caffeine. I had to pull products from women’s lines to get results – but women’s skin is different.
Men’s skin is 20% thicker, oilier, and ages different compared to women’s skin. Also, men often don’t pay attention to their skin until something goes wrong.
I leaned on my 25 years of working in biotech research to help create the line.
This inspired me to create hault, an exclusive men’s skincare line inspired by the desert. We'll continue to do all the research, and provide results driven ingredients, while you use skincare as a moment to focus on yourself.

Over time, our skin gets lazy and starts to look dull. It needs to be stimulated with active ingredients that can penetrate the skin more deeply and therapeutically – in 3D. Actives that work together to improve skin quality and help your skin age well. But I also wanted to help men enjoy the skincare ritual - that moment of calm. We all feel better when we look our best.
The healing power of the desert
I have always been drawn to the desert - no other landscape is so rough and dry yet beautiful. There are no distractions, just a vast expanse forcing you to slow down and focus on yourself: a place to retreat and ground yourself.
I wanted to harness the healing and spiritual power of the desert by transporting men to a place of peace and relaxation. Skincare is self-care – a moment of reset after a busy day. Our mind needs calming, and so does our skin.
